ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING:

Overview

In the academic year 2014, the Department of Civil Engineering was established with a student intake of B.tech 60 seats. Presently the Department of Civil Engineering runs with an annual intake of B.tech 90 seats and Diploma 60 seats. The department boasts a highly skilled, and committed faculty, as well as committed support staff members with various areas of expertise. Faculty members are given different theory areas and create lesson plans using the standard structure offered by the institute, emphasizing student learning and inventive thinking. The lectures placed a strong emphasis on the course material, practical applications, real-world examples, and the most recent advancements in the field of civil engineering. The Department also urges its students to participate in a range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities to enhance their general character and instill the values of leadership, teamwork, and organization that are crucial for launching a prosperous career.

Objective

Civil engineering programs aim to produce competent engineers who can effectively forward the causes of civil engineering and satisfy community needs. The Department's goal is to generate a highly competent and skilled labor force to meet the demands of the private sector, government agencies responsible for infrastructure development, research and development companies, and academic institutions. The Department places a strong emphasis on having a comprehensive awareness of fundamental concepts, a deep understanding of a particular field, developing creative problem-solving skills to address challenges in civil engineering, and the ability to adapt to and resolve cross-disciplinary issues.
