ABOUT THE COURSE:

The Diploma in Civil Engineering at Capital Engineering College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Odisha. Diploma in Civil Engineering at Capital Engineering College started in the year 2019 with an annual intake of 60 seats and presently continuing with the same intake.

Civil engineering programs aim to produce competent engineers who can effectively forward the causes of civil engineering and satisfy community needs. The Department's goal is to generate a highly competent and skilled labor force to meet the demands of the private sector, government agencies responsible for infrastructure development, research and development companies, and academic institutions. The Department places a strong emphasis on having a comprehensive awareness of fundamental concepts, a deep understanding of a particular field, developing creative problem-solving skills to address challenges in civil engineering, and the ability to adapt to and resolve cross-disciplinary issues.

Course Duration Eligibility
Diploma Regular (Civil Engineering) 3 Years (6 Semesters) Pass in HSC examination conducted by BSE, Odisha/ 10th standard examination declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha. (Lower age 14 years and Upper age – No bar)
Diploma Lateral (Civil Engineering) 2 Years (4 Semesters) Pass in +2 Science Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination with PCM / +2 Vocational (2 years course) in any Engineering Trades / 2 years ITI in Engineering Trade or COE Trade with pass in HSC examination conducted by BSE, Odisha/ 10th standard examination declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha. (Lower age 14 years and Upper age – No bar)
