About the Course:
The B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Capital Engineering College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha. B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Capital Engineering College started in the year 2010 with an annual intake of 60 seats and presently continuing with an annual intake of 120 seats.
Mechanical Engineering department deals with theory, design, development and application of Mechanical Engineering and related technologies. Within a short span of time the department has carved a niche for itself and demonstrated its credentials in all-round development of its students be it academics, research projects, robotics, research paper presentation and publication in peer reviewed journals and conferences. The department boasts of a well-balanced industry experienced and well qualified faculties. The Department is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and one dedicated workshop, which provides exceptional platform for teaching, learning and developing skills of students.

OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. OR Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. (the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream) (The Universities may offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the programme) |
