Electrical and Electronics Engineering Eligibility

The criteria and eligibility for admission in to any programme/course are governed by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) and as per the rules and regulations formed by Government of Odisha in consonant with AICTE guidelines.For more details about the eligibility criteria OJEE website can be referred https://ojee.nic.in

However, The Eligibility Criteria as Per OJEE Brochure 2023 is as follows.

 

Course Eligibility
B. TECH. (4 Years) Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship (AICTE Process Handbook, 2022-23) .
OR
Passed min. 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted
LE - TECH (3 Years)

Passed Minimum THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.

OR

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

OR

Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

(the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream)

(The Universities may offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the programme)
