The Electrical Engineering department of this college is started in the academic year 2010-2011 with the objective of giving best “Technical Education” to aspiring Power Engineers. This department provides an environment where young minds can grow to their full potential and become strong, principled and committed Citizens of the Country. The department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty of which most of them are having P.G qualification in different streams.
The department has good infrastructure with different labs namely Basic Electrical Lab, Electrical Machines-I Lab, Electrical Machines-II Lab, Electrical & Electronics Measurement Lab, Control & Instrumentation Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Machine Design &Simulation Lab, Power System Analysis Lab. All the labs are fully equipped to cater the present-day technology. Simulation lab is fully equipped with necessary systems and software. The laboratory is well equipped with different types of motors, tools for measurement of voltage, resistance etc. This ensures that students regularly conduct experiments and learn about practical applications of the various concepts they learn in the classroom.
Every year our final year students are encouraged to write GATE, CAT exams. The Department has its own association called Electrical students society and conducts many technical talks, seminars, quiz etc. The department is also associated with ISTE activities which give the students to improve and update their technical knowledge and personality development by conducting good programs.
Our students go to industry to take training or to do mini projects. The dept conducts Department Advisory Committee meeting every year by inviting two experts one each from Industry and Academia to share their experiences, knowledge, developments that can be taken up in the dept in order to strengthen the department as a whole which in turn beneficial to the students even for their better placements also.
The department is having better industry-institute interaction used to provide the Industrial training to the final year students for complete semester in order to have better exposure on the latest techniques adopted in the industry etc. The dept is also providing on campus technical training programs to the students on different software packages like MATLAB, Power Sim, P-Spice etc.

On the behalf of our students and faculty, it is my privilege to welcome all of you to the Department of Electrical Engineering at CEC. We take pride on our faculty, a team of highly energetic and dedicated professionals, most of whom have academic and industrial experience. We provide ample opportunities to our faculty and student, through in campus webinar from industrial resource person and also arrange multiple webinars. Faculty members of our department are very passionate about teaching and conducting various activities like workshops, guest lectures and industrial visits. Our department take care of encourages our students who are proficient of maintaining and improving their technical competence through durable learning, including entering and succeeding in an advance degree program in field of science and Technology. Our department believes in continuous learning. We prepare our students to handle the challenges created by the modern job sector. Our vision is to be recognized as an innovative and leading Electrical Department. I hope we will be able to maintain this in the years to come.
